Commission to probe missing Garda files

A commission of investigation is to be established to look into missing Garda files, arising out of the Dublin/Monaghan bombings of 1974.

Thirty-three people, as well as an unborn child, were killed in the explosions, which were carried out by loyalist paramilitaries.

However, Justice Henry Barron revealed that crucial garda documents that could identify those responsible mysteriously went missing.
