Rabbitte outlines ASBO plans

The Labour party will argue for the introduction of an Irish version of Anti-Social Behaviour Orders, as one tool in the armoury of the gardaí, according to party leader Pat Rabbitte.

Addressing the Dublin Lord Mayors' conference today Mr. Rabitte said there are many problems that still need to be tackled in the capital, despite massive strides forward in the economy.

Deputy Rabbitte said his party’s consultation document sets out a number of steps to deal with the "modern plague" of antisocial behaviour.
