St Bricin’s Hospital deemed unsuitable for public patients
The Health Service Executive has reportedly decided that St Bricin’s military hospital in Dublin would not be suitable for public patients without costly alterations.
The Department of Defence has offered to allow the 100-bed facility to be used to alleviate overcrowding in the accident and emergency unit of the nearby Mater Hospital.
However, reports this morning said a HSE inspection found that St Bricin’s would not be suitable without significant resources being spent on it.
