Irish people are taking more holidays at home and abroad, but are spending much less money while on holiday, according to figures published today by the Central Statistics Office.

Irish people are taking more holidays at home and abroad, but are spending much less money while on holiday, according to figures published today by the Central Statistics Office.

The CSO said the number of domestic holidays taken by Irish residents in the final three months of last year was up 12% on the same period last year.
