Fire Services to get €27m upgrade

Fire fighting services around the country are to undergo a €27m upgrade.

The massive revamp sees new headquarters at Drogheda, Galway and Monaghan, while new fire stations will be opened at 11 other locations throughout the country.

The computer aided mobilisation project (CAMP) is due to come online this year, which will provide fire fighters with an improved communications system.
