Best train station award goes to Mallow

Mallow train station has been named as Ireland's best.

The Co Cork stop won Iarnród Eireann's annual achievement award for an array of reasons including customer service, cleanliness, floral displays and innovative features.

Dundalk in Co Louth came second while Dublin's Heuston Station is the rail network's most improved station.
