It is thought the Cabinet is about to approve a second terminal for Dublin Airport run by DAA.

Transport Minister Martin Cullen's proposals are expected to receive the go-ahead.

There is criticism of the planned site though, next door to the existing building, which, it is claimed, will worsen overcrowding.

An official report rejected the location stating there is not enough room for the expected growth in passenger numbers.
