ICTU calls for backing for A&E protests

The Irish Congress of Trade Unions has urged all its members to support a series of lunchtime protests by nurses over the next two weeks.

The protests were arranged to highlight the ongoing problem of overcrowding in accident and emergency departments and the Government's failure to address the matter.
