Woman dies in Limerick car accident
A woman died in a two-car collision in Co Limerick last night.
Killaloe gardaà said the accident occurred in Ballyhane, Birdhill shortly after 9.25pm.
Three units of the fire brigade and four ambulances attended the scene and had to free the victims from the wreckage.
A woman and a man were taken to the Mid Western Regional hospital in Limerick where the woman later died.
The man is still being treated for his injuries and his condition is described as stable.
So far this year there have been 95 collisions and 103 death on the Republic’s roads.
