Gardaí in Co Limerick are investigating a fatal fire at a halting site on the Ennis Road.

A seven-year-old boy was killed when the mobile home he was in went on fire at Clondrinagh at around 12pm today.

His body has been taken to Limerick Regional Hospital where a post mortem will take place later today.

The boy's father and five-year-old brother were also in the mobile home at the time, but escaped injury.

The area has been sealed off for forensic examination.
