Drugs worth more than €130,000 seized by gardaí
Gardaí from Tallaght have released the 20-year-old man they were questioning following the seizure of €20,000 of cocaine and cannabis resin last night.
As part of an ongoing operation in the Tallaght area, gardaí stopped a car on the M50 at Tallaght yesterday shortly before 4pm and seized a quantity of cannabis.
The male driver was arrested.
In a follow up search of two houses in the Tallaght area, gardaí made further seizures of cocaine and cannabis.
The man, who was questioned under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act, was subsequently charged with drug trafficking offences and is due to appear in Tallaght District Court on April 20 next.
He was granted bail.
Meanwhile, gardaí in Blanchardstown are continuing to question a 40-year-old male following the discovery of six kilos of cannabis resin in a house in Edgewood Lawns at 11pm last night.
The drugs, with a street value of €50,000 were discovered following a planned search of the house last night.
