North’s Police Board approve new plastic bullet

The Policing Board of Northern Ireland has approved a new type of plastic bullet for use by the PSNI.

The decision to approve the “attenuated energy projectile” was subject to conditions. Chief Constable Hugh Orde will have to demonstrate that he has consulted with all releveant bodies including the North’s Childrens’ Commissioner.
