Fine Gael's Shane McEntee has won the Meath by-election after he was elected without reaching the quota.

In the final count the transfers of Labour's Dominic Hannigan and Sinn Féin's Joe O' Reilly were distributed, with McEntee picking up 5,833 to bring him to 24,047.
