Presbyterian Church ‘has lost all faith in Sinn Féin’
The Presbyterian Church in the North has said it has lost all trust in Sinn Féin following the IRA's alleged involvement in the Belfast bank heist.
The church, which has built a relationship with Sinn Féin during private talks in recent years, said the party's denials of criminality were unconvincing.
It said the British government should restore "moral integrity" by excluding Sinn Féin from all political negotiations in the North
Sinn Féin has responded by accusing the church of jumping on the anti-republican bandwagon.
It said the Presbyterians had never before pointed the finger of blame in such a way, for example in relation to the Pat Finucane murder.
