Three killed in separate crashes

Three men have died in separate road accidents in Dublin, Co Cavan and Co Westmeath this morning.

A motorcyslist in his early 50s died when he collided with a truck at the junction of the Naas Road and the Long Mile Road in Dublin at around 7.30am.

In Co Cavan, a man died when the car he was driving crashed in a single-vehicle accident on the main Cavan to Virginia road at around 8am, while another man also died in a two-car crash between Kinnegad and Miltownpass in Co Westmeath just before 7am.

Gardaí are withholding the names of all three victims until next of kin have been informed.
