Post mortem reveals no injuries to baby found in Mayo

A post mortem has been completed on the body of a newborn baby found in a shallow grave in County Mayo.

A group of youths made the discovery at Kilgalligan in Carrateigue yesterday.

The examination has revealed that the baby boy was full-term and born alive.

There were no injuries to the infant's body.

Meanwhile, Gardaí have renewed their appeal to infant's mother to come forward.
