Yahoo! to locate European HQ in Dublin
Ireland has scored another major international investment contract.
Nearly 400 jobs will be created when internet giant Yahoo! Sets up here.
The Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Micheál Martin made the joint announcement with Yahoo! In Dublin.
Yahoo!, based in Sunnyvale, California, will establish its European headquarters here and over the next five years will create nearly 400 new jobs in financial share services, web-hosting and customer support.
Seventy-five per cent of the jobs will require a third-level education.
Yahoo! has said the decision to locate in Dublin was influenced by the success of its existing operations here, the calibre and volume of graduates Ireland has to offer and the standard of telecommunications infrastructure.
