Police appeal for help after body found

Police in the North appealed today for the public’s help in identifying the body of a young man found near an athletics track.

Officers said the man in his early 20s was found yesterday afternoon near Mary Peters Athletics Track in south Belfast.

The man is described as six ft tall, medium to large build with brown spiky hair.

Officers said he was wearing a grey fleece top, a green and red tie-died T-shirt, black denim jeans, a brown leather belt and black lace-up boots.

Police asked anyone with information, or who believes that someone is missing to contact Lisburn Road Police Station.
