Political heavyweights to address UCC students
Speakers including Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny, former Taoiseach Albert Reynolds and event promoter Jim Aiken will address students in Cork next week.
The event, organised by the UCC Enterprise Society, is part of the Society's fifth annual conference, entitled “New World, New Opportunities”, on Thursday on the UCC campus.
Speaking at the conference will be Enda Kenny, Albert Reynolds, Jim Aiken, UCC president Gerard Wrixon, Eleanor McEvoy, founder of Phonecard Warehouse and Samir Najii, founder of Horizon Technologies.
As well as a questions and answers format, they will speak about their business lives to date.
Chairing the conference will be Alan Crosbie, chairman of Thomas Crosbie Holdings.
The conference will also see the launch of the annual “Good Ideas Competition” run by the society.
This competition is open to UCC students and encourages students that have ideas for a business venture to explore these ideas.
