Gardaí question man in connection with Clare assault

A man in his twenties is being questioned by gardaí about an alleged sexual assault in Co Clare.

A girl claims she was assaulted in a laneway between two pubs in the village of O'Briensbridge in the early hours of last Saturday morning.

The 15 year-old alleged victim has made a statement while witnesses are understood to have come forward.

The suspect is being questioned at Killaloe Garda station.
