Two arrested after Dublin pipe bomb
Gardaí in Dublin have arrested two men in connection with the discovery of a live pipe bomb underneath a van in the Clonshaugh area of north Dublin early this morning.
The device was spotted under the vehicle in Belcamp Crescent at around 1am.
Gardaí sealed off the area and evacuated a number of residents from their homes.
Bomb disposal experts were then called to the scene to defuse the device, which they confirmed was a live pipe bomb.
Residents were allowed back to their homes around three hours later.
