Taoiseach urged to highlight Chinese rights abuses

The Chinese government must be called to publicly account for its poor record on human rights, it was claimed tonight.

Amnesty International said Taoiseach Bertie Ahern should use Ireland’s trade mission to the Far East to highlight abuses rather than leave them behind closed doors.
