M1 motorway closed for roadworks

The M1, north and southbound is closed until midnight tonight.

Motorists are being advised that the closure will be from the Coolock intersection southbound and from Collins Avenue junction, northbound.

Extra gardaí will be on duty to divert all traffic through the Old Swords Road in Santry Village.

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes, including the Malahide Road, Ballymun Road, Finglas Road and Navan Road via the M50.
