Family seeks help from public in tracing missing Galway man

The family of a 27-year-old Galway man who has been missing for five days has made an emotional appeal for help from the public in tracing his whereabouts.

Aidan O'Donoghue, from Caherglissane in Gort, has not been seen since leaving a nightclub in Ennis, Co Clare, in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Divers have been searching the nearby river Fergus, while a garda spotter plane has also been deployed to the area, but they have failed to find any trace of the missing man.

Speaking about the matter yesterday, his sister Caroline said the family were hoping to contact a young couple who were seen speaking to Mr O'Donoghue in Ennis in the early hours of Sunday morning.
