Amazon to open European HQ in Dublin
Amazon.com is to establish its European Systems and Network Operations Centre in Dublin, creating 25 new jobs, Minister for Enterprise Micheál Martin announced today.
The IDA-supported operation will provide infrastructure support for Amazon.com systems worldwide and is expected to open in the first half of 2005.
The 25 new jobs will come onstream within two years within two years, with most positions calling for third-level graduates. Recruitment is to start immediately.
Minister Martin said: "This confirms this country’s status as the leading European location for the largest internet activities in the world."
