Pensioner killed in Dublin accident

A 73-year-old woman has died after she was struck by a car in the Stillorgan area of Dublin yesterday afternoon.

A 73-year-old woman has died after she was struck by a car in the Stillorgan area of Dublin yesterday afternoon.

The woman was walking on a pedestrian crossing at the Stillorgan Shopping Centre when she was knocked down at around 3.15pm.

She was taken to St James' Hospital, where she died from her injuries last night.

Gardaí are withhold her name until all next of kin are informed. They have also appealed for any witnesses to the accident to come forward.
