A hall used by members of the Protestant Orange Order in Northern Ireland has been targeted by arsonists, it emerged today.

A hall used by members of the Protestant Orange Order in Northern Ireland has been targeted by arsonists, it emerged today.

A pile of tyres was placed against the front door of a hall in Douglas Bridge, near Strabane, Co Tyrone, and set alight.

Police and fire crews were summoned to the scene at around 11pm last night.

The building sustained smoke damage, while the front door was burnt.

It is the second attack on an Orange hall in Co Tyrone this week.

On Monday night arsonists attacked another hall in Castlederg causing extensive damage.
