Four men injured in New Year's shooting in Dublin

Four men have been injured in a shooting incident in Dublin this afternoon, after two men fired shots at the group in the St Dominic's Park area of Coolock, on the northside of the city, shortly after 12pm.

Four men have been injured in a shooting incident in Dublin this afternoon, after two men fired shots at the group in the St Dominic's Park area of Coolock, on the northside of the city, shortly after 12pm.

The injured men, who are aged between 21 and 36, were taken to the Beaumont and Mater Hospitals for treatment.

Three were slightly hurt but one sustained more serious wounds.

A car used in the incident was found empty nearby a short time later.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward.
