Aid agencies praise Irish response to Asia disaster

Aid agencies have praised the generosity of the Irish people following Sunday's devastating earthquake and tsunamis in the Indian Ocean.

As of yesterday, Irish agencies had raised around €1.8m in donations from the public to help the survivors of the disaster, which has claimed at least 130,000 lives.
