Power cuts in Cork and Connemara
More than 10,000 people have been left without power in Connemara and parts of Cork due to an electrical fault in substations in those areas.
ESB crews have been working since early morning to repair the problem.
Kevin McDermott, spokesperson for the ESB, said that supply is expected to be returned by lunchtime.
The fault is being investigated but may be attributed to the adverse weather that much of the country has experienced.
