Govt announces €61m Arts Council Funding

The Government has announced €61m in funding for the Arts Council next year, a 16% increase on the amount granted to the council this year.

Almost 300 organisations will benefit from the funding, 39 more than this year. However, the Arts Council said demand for money from local authorities, festival organisers, production companies and arts groups was also double what was available.
