'Chronic drink-driving problem remains unsolved'

Ireland’s “chronic” drink-driving problem is the one area of the road safety battle which safety chiefs and gardaí have failed to crack, it was claimed today.

The staggering 19% increase in the number of drink-driving arrests already this Christmas has prompted huge concerns that the message is just not getting through.
