Martin calls for mediation in ferry and postal disputes

Enterprise Minister Micheál Martin has called on both sides in the An Post and Irish Ferries disputes to resolve their differences through independent mediation.

An Post workers are engaging in a one-day stoppage today in protest at what they describe as the company's failure to honour a number of union-management agreements.
