Sinn Féin president Gerry Adams tonight gave his backing for a plan to revive power-sharing in Northern Ireland.

The party confirmed that at a meeting of senior Sinn Féin leaders in Belfast, Mr Adams said he believed the party could support proposals put forward by Taoiseach Bertie Ahern and British Prime Minister Tony Blair.
