Budget figures highlight rising cost of decentralisation plan

The cost of the Government’s decentralisation programme has reportedly escalated sharply, with the Office of Public Works set to spent €900m on new offices for civil servants over the next four years.

Reports this morning said the figure, contained in documents released this week, was higher than any previous estimate of the cost of new offices for civil servants moving out of Dublin.
