Vomiting bug spreads at St Vincent's

More than 100 cases of the winter vomiting bug have been reported at a Dublin Hospital.

St Vincent's Hospital has said 76 patients and 43 staff have come down with the virus.

Fifteen wards have been closed as a result.

The hospital has appealed to people showing symptoms of the bug not to attend its A&E department to help prevent a further spread of the illness.

It has also asked the public to avoid visiting patients if possible.
