The Diocese of Kerry has reportedly drawn up guidelines outlining what Christmas carols are “suitable” to be sung in its churches.

The Diocese of Kerry has reportedly drawn up guidelines outlining what Christmas carols are “suitable” to be sung in its churches.

Reports this morning said the guidelines excluded popular songs like Frosty the Snowman and I Saw Mammy Kissing Santa Claus.

The reports said the document stated that carol services were not concerts, but a way towards God, and that churches were not appropriate venues for a Christmas concert.
