Plans to be unveiled for Garda traffic corps

The Minister for Justice Michael McDowell is expected to give the green light for the establishment of a Garda traffic corps this afternoon.

Under the plan, more than 1,000 gardaí will be deployed on full-time traffic duties nationwide.
