Dublin exhibition celebrates Universal Children's Day

Today is Universal Children's Day and celebrating the rights of the child is the theme of a special exhibition taking place in Dublin's St. Stephen's Green this morning.

The organisers are calling on the Government to make sure it treats all children in this country equally, regardless of where their parents were born.

Aisling Reidy, director of the Irish Council for Civil Liberties, says today's event will highlight two of the most important rights all children should enjoy, which are “firstly; equality, and secondly; the right that decisions that are taken about them are always in their best interest – those are the two main rights which children have chosen to highlight".
