Third person arrested over Rachel O’Reilly murder

A third person has been arrested by gardaí investigating the murder of Rachel O'Reilly.

A third person has been arrested by gardaí investigating the murder of Rachel O'Reilly.

The man was detained in the Naul area of north Dublin shortly after 10am, and was taken to Drogheda Garda station where he is being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

He can be held for up to 12 hours without charge.

A man and a woman who are still being questioned about the killing have had their period of detention extended.

Thirty-year Rachel O’Reilly, a mother-of-two, was attacked with a blunt instrument at her home at Baldarragh, near the Naul in North Dublin, on October 4.
