The National Disease Surveillance Centre is investigating an outbreak of the mumps at three colleges in Westmeath, Donegal and Kildare.

Around 75 cases of the viral infection have been reported in Athlone Institute of Technology, Letterkenny Institute of Technology and St Patrick’s College in Maynooth.
