Lesbian couple challenge same sex marriage ruling

A lesbian couple today challenged the Government’s refusal to recognise their marriage.

Catherine Zapaonne and Louise Gilligan are seeking a judicial review in the High Court. Senior counsel Gerard Hogan said the couple had contracted a marriage in Vancouver, British Colombia, in September last year.
