A 28-year-old man has died in hospital from injuries he sustained in a road accident in Co Laois earlier this week.

A 28-year-old man has died in hospital from injuries he sustained in a road accident in Co Laois earlier this week.

The man, who has been named as Patrick McDonagh, from Mountmellick, was walking in the Cappakeel area of Portloaise early on Monday when he was struck by a car.
