Labour condemns loss of 200,000 medical cards since 1997

Labour has published a study showing the number of people covered by medical cards has fallen by more than 200,000 since 1997.

The party spokesperson on Health, Liz McManus, accused the Government of deceiving the public on the issue and said that the number of people on low incomes covered by medical cards has dropped to 25% of the population.
