Confusion over life or death deadline for Afghan hostages

Afghan militants threatening to kill three foreign hostages, including a woman from the North, today offered to negotiate with a UN envoy, but warned that any rescue attempt would end in bloodshed.

But there was confusion over the deadline set by the kidnappers for the death of the hostages unless their demands are met.
