A man has been hospitalised following a collision between a car and a Luas tram in Dublin city centre this morning.

A man has been hospitalised following a collision between a car and a Luas tram in Dublin city centre this morning.

The accident happened at Capel St, on the Red Line between Tallaght and Connolly Station, at around 6.45am.

No further details are available.

Yesterday, four people were also hospitalised after another collision between a car and and a Luas tram on the Red Line at Blackhall Place.

The Rail Procurement Agency responded to that incident by reminding motorists to be extra careful around the Luas lines, to stop at all red lights and not to enter yellow junction boxes unless a clear exit path is visible on the other side.
