Govt expected to reveal decentralisation details before Budget
The Government is expected to reveal details of the decentralisation of a number of departments and state agencies away from Dublin before this year’s Budget in December.
Although it is reaffirming its commitment to the decentralisation programme, the Government is expected to extend its 2007 deadline.
Locations in the Dublin commuter belt are most heavily subscribed, namely the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment to Carlow and Communications and Social Affairs to Drogheda.
