A man in his 30s died today when his car crashed into a pole in Dublin.

A man in his 30s died today when his car crashed into a pole in Dublin.

Two other male passengers were seriously injured in the accident, which took place on Ballyroan Road in Rathfarnham at 1.40am.

The injured passengers were taken to Tallaght Hospital. Another passenger in the car escaped without injury.

It brings the number of road deaths on the Bank Holiday weekend to three and the total number of deaths this year to 305.
