INO encourages abuse victims to speak out

Elderly people in care who become the victims of abuse are being encouraged to speak out by the Irish Nurses' Organisation.

The INO is today launching guidelines for nurses to help them identify such cases and take action to prevent further abuse.

Liam Doran, the general secretary of the INO, says anyone with knowledge of possible abuse must take action.
