Govt announces High Ct appointment

The Government has announced its decision to nominate Justice Fidelma Macken of the Court of Justice of the European Communities for appointment by the President to the High Court.

Ms Justice Macken will replace Aindrias Ó Caoimh, former Judge of the High Court who has been nominated for appointment to the Court of Justice of the European Communities.

Ms Justice Macken previously served as a High Court Judge and has served on the Court of Justice of the European Communities from 1999.
